Persian Handmade Pictorial Carpet of Nowruz Ceremony is a picture of six young Iranian women in local costumes celebrating Nowruz. One of the girls is holding a tambourine and is playing the traditional instrument. Another is reading Hafez and there are three apples on her long skirt, and Hafez's big book is in her hands. Another young woman holds a hookah in her hands, and behind her, another woman with a flower clinging to her scarf has a Daf on her feet. Behind them there is an old, traditional table with charcoal samovar and teapot, fire grill, colorful flower pots and candle holders on it.

On the other side of the tableau rug are two other ladies, one sitting and looking at the other, and the other holding a traditional string-like instrument like Setar. In front of them is a small table with Haft Sin on it, an oil lamp, a flower pot, a Hafez's book and a few lotus flowers on it. Below the table there are a container of fruit, jars and pots of yellow, white and blue flowers, and some lotus flowers. There is also a large mirror in the old frame style next to the girls. Beneath their feet and where they are seated is a large rug.
